They have moved The Awakening to the new National Harbor, right over the river in Maryland. This has to be one of the coolest sculptures I've ever seen, and I'm glad it was decided to move it here - if it had to be moved anywhere. It's previous home was at Haines Point, an island in the middle of the Patomac that belonged to DC, and word on the street was that it was purchased by a private collector to be placed on his private property. It makes me happy that it will be enjoyed by thousands instead of a select few.

The Awakening.
